We are keen to set up an evening meeting programme and would be very pleased to hear from anyone who would be interested in attending evening meetings.


Those who came met our committee, some of our members and the health professionals who support the group. Lung screening was available on the night and the respiratory nurses and Dr Fowler who is a consultant from Queens hospital were there to .

The Diabetes support group and support team were also on hand to give advice. The Expert Patient Programme Team attnded the event and provided information regarding the BELLA course for COPD which is currently being delivered as a pilot in Barking and Dagenham.

Many who attended took avantage of the lung screening, blood sugar, blood pressure and carbon monoxide testing. Nurses dieticians and doctors were on hand to give advice.

Refreshments, buffet, information leaflets and brochures were available.
